Switching to AT&T next week. It's not just the constant issues, it's the fact that you can't reach anyone after 5pm and they don't bother fixing it until the next day.

Changing primary DNS server to 8.8.8.8 will fix it. Usually don't need to hard reset, just change it in GUI and wait a few. Worked for me. Summerville

Internet was down last night and came back this morning and now it is down again. I work from home and this is the most unreliable internet service I've ever had. I wish they were not the only provider in my area because Home Telecom is absolutely terrible. 29461 Moncks Corner

All of us customers who only have availability of Home Telecom should reach out to another internet provider in the area to get them to expend their coverage. I will gladly switch. I don’t understand why Home Telecom is having all these issues.

29485 Summerville, SC This is ridiculous. My wife and I both work from home (afternoon /evenings) and Home Telecom is one of the least reliable services we’ve ever had. Their customer service phone line is ALWAYS busy and their own website is either down or useless. Hopefully we’ll be able to switch/find a more reliable service in our area soon.

I hate how they are the ONLY provider in our area so we have to use them and then they CONSTANTLY have outages. And we don’t even get a refund when there are outages. I’m so over it!

Hey Nick, you have to do a hard reset on your router (usually requires a pen so you can poke into the hole) and then use the username/password that's listed underneath the router so you can change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Moncks Corner Near Cane Bay & Fox Bank Zip: 29461 is down and it's been down for hours. My daughter was talking to her friends and 6 of them in the chat have all said their internet in down throughout the whole state of South Carolina. Hope things get fixed soon. Have a child that is in virtual school.
