Did he say what they are going to have to do to fix those of us who have the original boxes? It’s so odd they’ve always worked then one day they just stop. I really hope they’re not going to have to replace every single one of our boxes that would take a while.

I just got off with tech support an he said they have the fiber line fixed an they r going to fix the problem for hiltons I ask if it has something to do w these outside units being originally optinet he said that it's those boxes that r out which explains y my cousin has wifi an we don't he signed up a couple yrs ago with point broadband

I dont believe they have anyone working on it either. I don’t think they have any idea what’s even wrong with it. I msged WCYB maybe they can get them to tell what’s actually going on. This is absurd being without internet for almost 24hrs.

They won't issue credits it's just excuse after excuse an they probably don't have anyone working on it

Still no internet here and they are saying the same thing that they have people in the field fixing it. I sure hope they plan to pass out bill credits for all this time we’ve been without internet. We shouldn’t be paying for a service we don’t have.

Still no internet and no trucks in the area. We are getting close to 24hrs. I was for sure hoping it would be fixed by now.

Last call to tech support she said the fiber line broke an they had to go fix that before they could come finish the rest of the outages in hiltons but they had fixed some of the outage idk I just hope it gets fixed soon.

Mines been out 20hrs and not one truck has been on AP Carter Hwy. and when I first called in at 630 yesterday after a 45min hold I was told there had been an outage but it was fixed give it 2hrs and it should be fine. Now what kind of customer service is that. I waited 2hrs called back after being on home 70 mins this time and made it to number 2 in que I get an automated msg come on saying oh we know about the outage and are investigating it. So yes people are NOT gonna be happy with that kind of customer service.

Hopefully when they fix that line everyone's wifi will be back on. My cousin lives 30 feet from me an his wifi has worked the whole time.

When the fiber broke in ya part it shut down the fiber everywhere bristo/Kingsport/Abingdon/tn it’s not just ya we are are suffering 2

That must be the fiber line they said is broke. Hopefully when it's fix what's wrong w our wifi in hiltons.

Very nice they are working in abingdon when the problem has been in Hiltons since 530pm yesterday!! And everyone who calls in is told something different so yes they are just saying anything to get people off the phone!!

I think they are just making up stuff. They’ve told me no one will need to come here to fix it they know what the issue is and are working on it. They’re saying it’s their equipment and they’re working on it. I swear they are just making up stuff.

I just called back and they still say they have no time of restoration but that they have people out in the field working on it. But I’ve not seen not one point broadband truck in my area.

C.Wise I definitely will. I can’t believe it’s taking them this long to even figure out what’s wrong. This is crazy. For anyone who works from home this would be awful. I sent another email and got the same generic response of their engineers r working on it. They expect bills paid not us to work on paying them so we should be able to expect service.

Keene from what they’ve told me on email they have no estimation of when it’ll be fixed and they don’t seem to even know what’s wrong. They just keep saying their engineers are working on it. So it seems we may be without internet for a while.

24258 .. A.P Carter Hwy Hiltons ,Va half a mile from the Washington Co Va line. Ours went down Fri at 5:30 So Im assuming from convo on here its hard to tell when they could have the issue fixed ????

I have the 1gig plan and I never have speeds above 350-400 ever. And they’ve never bothered to come see why. They just say well speeds aren’t always exact ????. Point broadband has just been terrible.

No they never said a word about sending anyone out. Just said they were aware of the problem and the engineers were working on it. I don’t think they know what they are doing.

I'm supposed to have 500 up 500 down an ever since point broadband bought optinet its never worked right did they say anything to u abt tech ppl coming to hiltons jw if it's a load of ????
